how...sweet... (no pun intended)

During one of my frequent DKA admissions I was really out of it, with leveels of 39 and higher. There was this really sweet paediatric registrar at the hospital (who knew me well), and he was in charge of trying to insert the I.V. coz I was so dehydrated. After failing on numerous occasions to find a vein in my arms / hand, he told me he needed to go for my foot, and would I trust him? My answer, at the ripe old age of 10? "No, my friend told me to never trust a man, so p**s off!!"

Sorry, Dr. Luke...

However, when he brought me a glass of water to sip half an hour later coz i was so thirsty, I asked him to marry me (according to mum)

Go figure...
