Hi Seacomp

Btw, I should have mentioned I have PCOS and I am on glucophage xr 1500 mg per day. I wonder what my bg would be if I wasn't on the meds.

I went to a second gyn about the pcos and maybe trying byetta. They told me my numbers were pretty good, and I am controlling them well, and they saw no need to prescribe anything else. I asked her about the HA1C reading of 6.0, and she said it is a little elevated (true), but of no big concern. I can't stand it when I go to these doctors and they aren't all that concerned.
What makes it even worse is I don't have insurance and everything is coming out of pocket. I can't afford to keep going from doctor to doctor to have me get more and more test to tell me it is of no concern. Sorry for the rant, doctors can be very frustrating. Most of them don't see the big picture, if you don't have a full blown disease, then most don't see a problem. Btw this rant is not aimed at anyone on this board, I am just letting out many years of frustration with docs that are not in the business of prevenitive medicine.
