My son is amazing -- never been shy at all. About a week and a half after diagnosis, he tested himself in the lobby of the Stratford theatre (fancy Shakespeare theatre) and did his injection at a restaurant. His fourth-ever set change with his pump he did at a pool party in front of his entire class, with three grade-8 girls sitting around him watching.

I'm really glad to see that -- I hope it will help him take care of himself through those tough teen years if he doesn't feel he has to leave whatever is going on just to do his business. And his friends are all totally matter-of-fact about it, because they were just casually included from Day One.
