Hi, Jenny. Unfortunately, once the door to diabetes is opened, a bunch of other doors open up, too.

Acid reflux and GURD can cause VERY serious problems, so this is something that you dr needs to pay attention to, and treat if it becomes necessary.

Some dr's feel that just because you have diabetes, every problem you develop along the way is related. That may or may not be true. Whether it is or is not related to diabetes, this DOES NOT give your dr the right to ignore the problem, ignore your complaints, or not treat the problem.

Hope I didn't bum you out, that was not my intention, just some friendly advice for the future.
