I change mine about 1x's a week but I also have 3 different meters I use so none of them really get dull. The key is if it starts hurting when you prick your finger (not the usually sting! lol) then change your needle it is DULL
I don't even change the needle on my Novo Nordisk insulin delivery system once a week

I change the lancet about 2x a month.......maybe
