LG, I tried the letting the b/s go high for 1-1/2 weeks a few years ago - for my efforts, my vision got blurry, I didn't lose any weight, and stopped when the thirst and constant WC visits started. I remember losing 30lbs seemingly overnite when I first got sick w/ diabetes, but it sure didn't work for me the second time around.

I read in the latest Diabetes Forecast that in order to lose 1 pound, you have to either reduce your diet by 3500 calories or burn that many. (in a one-month period)
