| I would contact the ER again and ask them. I had this happen about 10 years ago but unfortunately I was only 14 at the time and don't remember what they did. But I was in the ER and had an IV in and while the IV was in it hurt like heck. So they had to take it out an reinsert it at that time in my other arm but the first spot still swelled up alot. I'm not sure what they ever did.
