But most days, I can control my appetite... I tend to eat a lot of salads too

. They are good, not only b/c they tend to be pretty low cal/carb/fat, but also b/c they pack in a lot of fiber which can make you feel full on a relatively lite meal. Diet experts typically recommend that you order salad or soup with your meals when eating out, b/c they fill you up so you won't overeat on your main course.
Just watchout ...sometimes fiber can make you bloat, among other things
