yep, I regularly experience this. I put it down to having to wait for the blood glucose to go up to a level which my body recognises to mean that I've eaten something.

I eat a diet of complex carbohydrates to avoid spikes and to supply steadily over a period of time, the energy I need to function.

If I eat more while I am still hungry, I get over-full and then sleepy.

I also have to balance all that with not eating too many calories, or I put on weight.

Fun isn't it.

Medication - Metformin 850mg x 3; Pioglitazone (Actos) 30mg x 1; Gliclazide 160mg x 2; plus stuff for hypertension & cholesterol with Aspirin E/C for the cardio/vascular system

I have to keep smiling - there's no other choice - but I do growl occasionally
