| I am having the same problems with my 12 year old son. He has fasting sugars some days of in the 130's and 2 hour post meal's also 130's to 160's However some times he has fasting sugars in the 90's. He is in the bathroom every hour. He drinks water like a fish. He has complained of blurry vision (checked out okay at the eye Dr). He eats like a horse and has lost a few pounds. He has seen an ENDO (last fall) and had an A1C of 5.2. The endo did his testing and all came back okay. I check him every so often and he does still run high some times. I was able to grab a Home A1C about a month ago from walmart and his A1C came back at 5.6. I am in a fight with my wife, because I want him to see someone else again. My wife is telling me to leave the kid alone.
Plus the kicker is that he has been an honor roll kid for the past 5 years and this year he is getting C's and D's. And I am just wondering if that also has something to do with his blood sugar.
Sorry for the long story, but what I was trying to get to is I would be concerned also and keep on top of things. Who knows we might just be catching it at a very early stage.
