About a year or so before being dx'd with diabetes, I was getting migraines about twice a month. I made an appointment with a neurologist who prescribed Imitrex 50mg.

Six months after being dx'd with diabetes, the migraines started to subside. I still get them, but only about one every few months. My neurologist thinks the high blood sugars could have been a part of why I was getting the migraines so frequently in the first place. I truly understand how you feel when you get a migraine. They totally wipe me out too!

The information sheet states to "discuss with your doctor before you use Imitrex tablets if you have risk factors for heart disease, obesity, DIABETES, smoking" etc. My endo is aware that I'm taking this medication as needed.
