Woohoo! Another Bernstein follower! Great book, but I still haven't heard him address how some diabetics live into their 60's (we have a couple members here) without using his methods?

Anyway, Grace, your team is trying to advise you on your care...I don't want to undermine them as they are professionals and I am just a dude behind a computer far away somewhere--BUT, if you feel their advice is not working for you, tell them that. Arm yourself with evidence as to why you feel their tactics need adjusting for YOU: Bring your blood sugar results, and if you have time, show them your blood sugar results eating their way and eating your way.

There is a school of thought that carbs are the enemy...Maybe so, there is a lot of debate about it. But there is little debate that eating too much is bad for you. And if you have evidence that eating as you have been advised to eat is ruining your blood sugars, then present that evidence. You are at least as important, if not more important, than anyone else on your "team".
