does anyone know what causes sugars to rise in the night three times recently i woke up in the middle of the night to sugars of 7.4 8.8 and 10.2

My advice: switch doctors. The sooner, the better.
High bg's at night: do a Google search on "dawn phenomenon", if by middle of the night, you mean after 3AM. Otherwise, if it's midnight you are talking about, maybe it's late evening snacking, too much fat in diet, etc, etc. (I don't even know if you are on meds, so my comments are just conjecture.)
