Ok, I know that you were probably expecting to hear from the "younger" set on here but I want to tell ya a few things.
I was diagnosed at the age of 13(35, now) and having diabetes as a teen was tough.
On the boys topic: Boys are gonna come and go but your diabetes and your health are with you forever. You have to find the right balance between boys, every day life, and diabetes. You can't let the diabetes control you, you have to control it !!!! You can get those numbers down, it's just gonna take finding out what works for you.
On the dad topic: I wish that I would have had a dad around to hound me in my teen years. Mine died when I was 6 years old . Just remember that what he says and does is done out of love, not out of a desire to hound you or "yank your chain".
Just hang in there and know that we are all here to help you. You can get control over this disease. YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!! PM me anytime if you need support.
