I don't know any good diabetic jokes, but...

When I was in college, I used to work at the on-campus gym. There was this big dude that worked out all the time, and I can't remember what he said, but I came back at him with a "yo momma" joke.

He said something like, no you didn't. Let me tell you about my momma...and he proceeded to unload just about every "yo momma" joke in the world on me. And some were just outright terrible, vulgar. But by the time he was finished, I was beyond able to say anything back to him. He basically turned the tables on me.

Embrace it. It's not who you are, etc. Shoot, when I was in high school, we made fun of each other in the cruelest ways possible. I don't recall anyone making fun of my diabetes, but man-oh-mighty that may have been preferable to what they were making fun of (or making up).
