I think people just want to emphasize how important it is to control your diabetes~ they don't mean harm by it or mean it in a disrespectul way. So please do not take it personally.
Obviously, Diabetes is not always easily controlled & it can be a very difficult, draining disease to live with 24/7. Especially since we get no breaks, vacations, or days off from it... it's here with us all the time. But, that said, just b/c it's with us round the clock, doesn't permit us to neglect our health. we have to do everything in our power to stay in control of it and stay healthy. Otherwise, there could be some nasty complication

... which I'm sure we all are aware of.
I think it's AWESOME that you have brought your A1c down... every improvement made is notable & important. But as you probably know, there is still improvement necessary. Hopefully, this is something you are continuing to work on with your doctor and diabetes team. Not to mention, that having a support network is also very important. If you aren't in a support group, I hope you will continue to come visit here for that... We really are a friendly group. Sometimes, b/c we are online, and can't always tell the tone of other posters things become miscommunicated. But I think I can safely say that most of us have very good intentions
So please stick around and get to know us - I think you will be glad you did.
Take care
