After a year of not doing anything I think it may take a year if not longer to get back to perfect numbers. i do realize that my numbers are high and am working on all sides of this but my insulin dosage is between me and my dietician than my doctor. My doctor i great and is helping me in different aspects but my dietician is the one that is working with me and my insulin numbers.
compared to the 17, 10 is really good and it has been coming down over the last nine months but unfortunately i don't have a magic wand to magically make my bgs and diet and exersise all work perfectly and get my numbers 100% normal immediately.
Am i the only one who fell off the wagon and is trying to get back on. I am 22 and married if i don't take care of myself i know what will and can happen. I joined the forum for support and in this thread all but one have ragged on my lack of control. Did anyone of you read my other posts?!??
anyway i am sorry i am stressed enough with my numbers to have people tell me what i already know and make me more stressed about the numbers because instead of encouraging me I get everyone parenting me.
anyway .... |
Actually, I think those who responded, DID read your post. While you've gotten your A1c DOWN, for YOUR good (not MINE), you should continue to work on reducing it to a safe level.
What you refer to as "ragging" is appropriate concern by others who know the long term results of such a high A1c. You can either be angry at us, or channel your anger at your blood sugar levels and work on that. I'm more than willing to incur your wrath, if the result is that you start making further cuts in your numbers. You've done a great job so far--just don't stop here.
At age 22, you have the potential for a lot more years on this earth. Make them healthy ones. We want you to succeed in "the battle".
IF you want us to all gloss over your numbers, I think you are going to be disappointed. Parenting? No, geniune concern.
