My trainer gave me a new Ultra Smart when I pulled out my old one and she saw how messed up the screen was. But ... the new one has a sticky OK button - you have to hit it just right or it hangs up. And when you put a strip in it takes more effort to turn the thing on - like it has some resistance. I've wondered if that's what the minis are doing - some have mentioned trouble with strips and minis. I haven't torn one yet, but it feels like that's what's happening. I wrote the website about this and have not received any kind of reply. (It's been almost 2 weeks.) Same thing happened when I wrote them about my messed up screen. No reply either time. I like the meter and will use it - hoping I can get another free one when I go back to endo in December - I have 100's of strips in the cabinet! - but am disappointed in their lack of response. Problem not big enough?
