The only way you'll get a meter from dLife is if you check on your dLife profile that you want to get a meter. Go to your "PROFILE" and there's a bunch of checkboxes for things like contests (of which you never hear of someone who actually makes use of their message forum who wins -- the winners seem to always be a pre-selected person, at least for the last two seasons)...

I checked for it and received an email that stated, "Be on the lookout for a dLife package to be sent to you!" about 6 weeks later.

Two days before receiving that email, I had received a Bayer Contour Meter.

I thought that was ironic, especially after saying how the Contour required too much time (15 seconds) for a reading and frequently fails on tests if you don't have enough blood in the strip (sort of like the Onetouch, but worse).

As I said in the "Freebies for You and Me" thread in the Chit-Chat forum, go ahead and stop by and get a freebie BOOST coupon. You have to claim you're Type 2, but the BOOST tastes pretty yucky, in my opinion.

I would have rather had a Freestyle meter! ****!! *chucks the Bayer meter out to the trash*
