| Actually, the only way to get the dLife t-shirt and blood drop and free Freestyle meter (with purcahse of 100 strips, if you read the fine print) from a Diabetes Shoppe pharmacy, is to click on a link from their "Deals and Offers" page.
If anyone is interested in getting those items, find the thread in the Chit-Chat forum titled, "Freebies for you and me." I liked the t-shirt, despite all the advertising on it.
Turns out that dLife sent me a Freestyle Freedom meter, too. I must have an old account on their system, because they sent it to my parents' address.
They also included a survey card along with it in the box, asking what other freebies would be "helpful."
Strangely, the Contour meter came with no such survey.
The only thing I can think of them sending the better meter to my parents' address was because I hadn't logged in to whatever account I have with them in over a year.
I found the same thing to be true of Costco -- if you have a paid membership, and don't buy anything for a year, they'll send you a bunch of coupons at the end of the year for things like free muffins, free apples, and a free pie, just to get you to come in and renew your membership.
