Not exactly diabetes-related, but I was told back when I was using a rescue inhaler a couple times a week that my asthma was not being properly controlled. The doctor said that it was bad for my heart to be using it that much. I don't know if he was right about being able to avoid it, but since I've been on a new medication, I've used it 0-1 times a year. Of course, I avoid smoky places and chemicals now.
