Sorry to vent, and usually I try to keep my cool, but I've had about enough Drama for one month (or maybe for a lifetime!!)!!
Apparently, according to Carwy's drama queen sister, his mom is doing poorly. She's having eye troubles again (she's already about blind in her left eye), and has been having issues breathing. They think there may be something wrong with her heart.....
However, I can tell you exactly Why ALL that's happening! How can people Honestly expect to run at 300+ almost ALL the time & Never have ANY complications!? When I go visit, she gets a little jealous of me,
cause when I test, the highest I usually go is 180 (sometimes 200s, depending on set issues or what I've eaten). She spends the better part of the time At or Over 300! Yet the family (especially her daughter, who happens to be a nurse :****mate: - remind me Never to be in need of Her care!) expects her to be fine!!! Are we all running around with blinders on!?
Now of course, the family's scrambling to try to help her....the ONLY thing that may actually help is if she takes some da** control! However, the damage may be done & it may be too late. This has been going on for years. There's been discussion about her going on the pump, but she's somewhat afraid of it (though I tried to help her with it) & didn't have someone who'd take the initiative to go to the 2 week training sessions with her in another town. One of her sons lives with her rent free in a home that's paid for, why in the he** couldn't HE go!?
Guess what I'm trying to say in a nut shell is take some da** control of Your Diabetes before it takes control of You!!! There is absolutely NO reason one shouldn't try to care for him or herself with such a disease. It's much more maintainable than Cancer, for God's Sakes!
