I think what really is upsetting about this situation is that she watched one of her friends die of complications cause that person would eat & drink whatever she wanted, and didn't maintain control. Her friend passed too early, cause she didn't even Try, cheating her family out of a mom & wife and cheating her friends as well. Not for anything, but how selfish is that!?

Still, she doesn't do a thing to try to gain control. She's used different insulins (such as Symlin) to help, but hasn't had luck. She's been approached about pump therapy, but seems afraid of it. I tried to show her there's nothing to be afraid of (he**, she should be More afraid of the alternatives!), and even offered to go with her across the state to attend a 2 week training. She apparently opted not to do it. She could at least try. I mean, after all, her son went through a he** of alot worse with Cancer treatments and a stem cell transplant, cause he has a desire to live! She ought to take the same initiative if she wants to be here for the future!

Yes, indeed, it is.

That would be a good way to scare someone straight. He**, I just might try it.

Dewey - next time have a strategic tantrum and just freak out over them all, if they're not going to control it, then shut the F**K up about it...
LOL @ controlling "the Beetus!" That made me smile!

On the "shutting the f up part," that's just it...I have a very hard time sitting idly by while watching a train wreck that's so preventable. However, I'm not so sure I can lead this horse to water, as the case may be...
