| Dewey,
That sucks but you can only lead a horse to water. My husband's mother didn't take care of herself either and she passed away this summer (she had non-diabetes related problems). I used to give her a hard time but her attitude was 'you have to die sometime.' What a dumba**.
Sort of on topic: How long do you all think it would take to get complications when running high bgs (like >250) on a regular basis? My bgs were very high after I had my kids and I noticed some problems like memory loss, tiredness, depression, etc. but those symptoms have since gone away. Boy, I wish someone had told me then that lantus would make it easier to manage bgs when you didn't know when your next meal would be! |
