| Diana is right. When you change the battery it erases the current amount of insulin that is available. All you have to do when you do that once every 4-6 month battery change is act like you are changing the cartridge. In doing so, skip the "fill canula" step and don't "prime" it alot, maybe just one drop, that way you don't waste alot of insulin.
