if you have MODY your children will have a 50/50 chance of developing it, as they are dominant genes.

For me having MODY i started out on diet+exercise, moved to oral meds and have now progressed onto insulin. In my family my mum is still only on oral meds and other family members are on insulin. so within my family, with the same genetic defect there are differences in the way our diabetes have developed.
