I too have experienced this, Lg. In fact, I have one on the left side of my left heel as we speak. I often attribute mine to dry skin, but I also seemed to get this one after walking on a rocky surface with shoes that were not appropriate for it.
I've found things like "Burt's Bees," "Origins," or other creams to work wonders. Hope this helps, and hope your feet feel better soon!
