| Thanks all...
I had to take her to the ER today bc her ENT wanted to make sure they didn't puncture her esophogus(they didn't).
Oh, the one endo who gave me a hard time last week was really nice today, told me I was doing everything possible and I know(knew) what I am(was) doing...etc...that was nice of her to say...
I'm a bit disappointed w/ the care at the hospital(or lack thereof)...
No ENT, no endo...they sent us up alone for an xray(fine, we know our way there anyway)...then they came in the room when we got back from radiology so they could hook her up to saline and then left us there and then came in an hour after her bag was empty and said, go home...I was like, wait, what about the xrays?(they never even tested her urine for ketones)...and they sent a doc in to say "clear"...just esophogitis and CP from surgery. Whatever. They ALMOST forgot to take out the IV...again.
So, I went right from the hospital to work, her dad was at the pizzeria, and I worked until about 30 minutes ago.
She's sound asleep, bgl's have been in the 2/300's and low ketones and she still can't eat or drink well, (and she's not doing well w/ the popsicles either)...
So, that's my long winded update.
I work again tomorrow til close b/c her dad can't.
I know pneumonia very well, too. It's no fun and it takes forever. The last time I had double pneumonia it took me from the very beginning of November until sometime in February to heal(ok, so I had chicken pox on my lungs as well...lol)...
OK...I'm shutting my sorry, tired, annoying hands up!
Thanks for listening...
