| It has been a long time since I developed diabetes but it doesn't sound like diabetes to me, either. I remember losing a lot of weight. I'd drink water constantly and as a result spent about half the day drinking water and the other half in the bathroom getting rid of it. I also became VERY sick, too, but that didn't happen until just before the diagnosis.
