The rule of thumb for the home tests is that a negative isn't always a negative...But a positive is always a positive.
When my wife first got pregnant, that color-indicator turned "positive" IMMEDIATELY. No doubt. We called the doc because I was freaked out and wanted the doctor's confirmation...She said forget it, you're pregnant. Congrats and make your check-up appointment ASAP.
With my second son, my wife did the test and the color...almost stayed the same. Almost no change. So we weren't sure.

Duck went out and bought two other different kinds. Same deal. Weird. The wife made an appointment, but it was going to be a few days. The next day she bought another test (same as the initial brand) and now the indicator was a different color, but again not the immediate change...after an hour, it was completely changed.
