Tim Hortons - Donuts

Wow....Donuts really spike the BGs, and FAST. Today I decided to treat myself with a donut (one of those things I haven't had since Oct 2 at least). I had a Timmy's Chili Combo, tea and a Walnut Crunch donut. Well, I was 4.2 before lunch, and only 40 minutes later I'm a 10.4. The chili only has 17 Carbs, but the brochure says the donut has 60 carb alone (and my diabetic nurse/educator told me that since Timmy items are hand made they can be inconsistent in carb counts anyways).

Oh well, lesson learned. I'm scared to see what my 2 hour post meal number is. I'll be back to tell you.
