I would be amazed if this were neuropathy as it normally doesn't happen this sudden. I'm with the others, it's probably a pinched nerve which any specialist doctor, osteopath or chiropractor could soon sort out.

The first thing I would try is to undo the pinch - try slowly rising onto the tips of your toes a couple of times keeping your legs together and also straight - its a medium length shot; but it might work, saving you some medical costs.

Medication - Metformin 850mg x 3; Pioglitazone (Actos) 30mg x 1; Gliclazide 160mg x 2; plus stuff for hypertension & cholesterol with Aspirin E/C for the cardio/vascular system

I have to keep smiling - there's no other choice - but I do growl occasionally
