| There was all the hype of BD not making the meters or the strips anymore and because of that all the meter companies were handing out free meters left and right. Now a company called Santiva bought BD and will continue making strips for your BD meter. On top of that Santiva is extending the warranties which obviously means they will be continuing making the meters as well. I don't know at this point if the meters will return to the stores.
