Some doctors don't even know the others exist. Some won't prescribe an option that they don't know the ins and outs of. MM has been around since at least 1995 (I'm sure alot earlier) whereas both Cozmo and Animas only have about 5 years. Those are the main reasons.

Heck, there's tons of people out there that haven't even heard of Dexcom. I recently went to a local seminar on pumps and they spent alot of time talking about the CGMS units and spent 2 minutes on the Dexcom and about 30 on the MM. The MM rep basically said a CGMS is pointless without a pump, so why not get one built in together.
