A coworker was on a clinical trial for an internal pump. The trial ended and they gave him the MM with CGMS. He had used it for one day and he was thrilled with it.

I looked at the graph on his pump and it was impressive. His BS had a slight downward trend over a 6-hour period. He will monitor the trend (during the same 6-hour period) for a few more days and, if the results are consistent, he will use the info to adjust his basal profile. I must say it looks very useful for trends whether or not the readings substitute for finger sticks.
