I'm not enthused about the insulin inhalers primarily because you can't be very accurate if you're at all sensitive to insulin, and that bothers me far more than injections do. I've wondered sometimes what I would do if I were suddenly "cured", and I think it would take me a long time to stop calculating what carbs and proteins and fats I'm consuming, and how long it will take to digest, and how many units of which insulins to give (I use Humalog and Regular to bolus, and am on MDI). In other words, a 24-hour leave would be no holiday. I've been thinking as a diabetic for 21 years, by the way, which may explain it.
