Yes--I have a similar situation. I was diagnosed as type 1 a few months before my 30th birthday. I use very little insulin, but I tested positive for GAD Antibodies.

Same for my brother--he was diagnosed as type 1 at same age as me, but this was after a year of being misdiagnosed as type 2 and trying oral meds.

we both have little trouble managing our diabetes. My a1c is currently 5.6, and his is also under 6.

I guess it doesn't really matter that I was diagnosed as type 1 vs. LADA, right? Isn't it all the same treatment? Insulin... There wouldn't be an oral med for us anyways, right?
