The baby will be healthier if you take the insulin and make sure you keep your blood sugar level under control. If you don't take the insulin, when the baby is born it's likely that he'll be hypoglycemic and the nurses will give him lots of sugar water, instead of letting you breastfeed.

Take the insulin. It's better for you and it's better for your baby.
