Kevin, if you're not already using bleach to clean your toilet, I suggest you do so. Just don't mix it with any other cleanser as it can cause toxic fumes. Do not, I repeat do not use a toilet brush; you'd be surprised how many germs proliferate on those suckers. Gloves and a clean rag are the most sanitary way to wash your toilet. If you're squemish and must use a brush, soak it in bleach and rinse it out really well between uses.
Gotta say I agree with Nancy; looks like you may be on to something.
