My blood sugars almost *always* go up when I'm at home. The food is free (as in, I didn't pay for it), so I tend to eat a lot more and I'm also sitting around a lot of the day. Then on top of that, I go out with friends to the bars, and alcohol always messes my BGLs up, so honestly it was probably just a waky weekend. Unless it's a consistent pattern now that you're home, I wouldn't worry about it. Just chalk it up to crazy circumstances and move on. If his numbers are better now that he's home, everything is probably fine. Just talk to the doctor or diabetes educator if things start going crazy again and this time you really don't know why.
