i've had an endoscopy before.they gave me demerol and versed[a narcotic pain killer and a tranquilizer]it knocked me out-then i woke up after it was done.you'll be very sleepy,drowsy and buzzed .the procedure's no big deal at all .good luck-hope they can find what's going on with you.take care,trish
