I too failed the 2 hour OGTT. This was followed up by the 3 hour OGTT. The 3 hour test reveled at that time while at 2hours I was 187, at 3 hours I was 140. My system was working just slowly. My fasting levels were well under 100 then too. I was told I was pre-diabetic.

I changed my diet, lack of exercise, and sought education. I felt I had the luxury of making small changes adapting to those before moving onto the next change. Getting diabetes education for me was key. Some of the advice family and friends gave was just wrong.

Advance 3 years and I have progressed to diabetes, as the doctor said it maybe genetic. I had 3 practice years to find what worked best for me. I am grateful, I'm not one to adapt to change well.
