I was taking Lantus & Humalog before I was prescribed the pump. I didn't do well with the injections. I would forget and never take them at the same time, sometimes forget completely to do it. I had trouble with lows & highs as well.

The pump has been a life changer for me. I highly recommend it if you have the option to switch.

I haven't experienced any mood swings related to the insulin or BS in general. Even with my BS under better control (my last A1C was 7), I am still almost always tired and lethargic. Especially if I am running even a little high. If I have a terrible swing in a day from high to low or low to high, forget it! I'm useless for the rest of the day.

I hope this improves as I work on bringing my A1C down.
