Would my first baby will be fine with the insulin that I take daily? |
I was put on insulin at about 24 wks into my pregnancy. My docs were worried that she was getting to big and at 38 wks I was admitted into hospital to be induced, unfortunately I also developed pre eclampsia the day before being admitted. After 18 hrs of labour I had my daughter by c-section but only because of failure to progress, nothing to do with her size or my diabetes. She was born weighing 8lb 13oz which isn't that big at all, plus she lost a lb in the first week due to fluid gained from the diabetes.
