I don't share your faith. The important thing is to hunt for the right doctor and that's a job in itself (difficult where I live). I think "see a specialist" is a better idea.

Hardly 'a lot' of faith.
I just think that a doctor who is able to actually see you, test your blood sugar, administer A1Cs and c-peptide tests is probably in a far better position to give you an accurate diagnosis than someone who's read a couple of sentences you've written on an internet message board.
