I agree, but once I've been diagnosed by a
competent doctor I would feel more comfortable learning from the experience of long-time diabetics who post on this forum.
I've read a report on this forum where a doctor prescribed diabetic medicine to a person who was obviously only in the very early stages of pre-diabetes. Most doctors are just too gung-ho with their prescriptions and don't have the time (or knowledge in many cases) to help people control their conditions with lifestyle changes.
