| When my dietitian told me that nuts were good for me, especially P, A & W (Peanuts, Almonds and Walnuts) I went crazy, especially with Almonds. I would buy a pound of raw almonds, soak them in saltwater and microwave until they were crunchy and eat a whole pound in two days. After a routine blood work my cardiologist told me that the potassium level was high. It took me some time to realize the cause of that. Unfortunately the nutrition label does not list potassium. So I backed off. Now only one pound per week. Fortunately I do not have to worry about my weight.
Walnuts are very healthy because of their unsaturated fats.
