| Everyone:
My first reaction was the same as Blue Sky's -- the FBG should have been lower or in my "normal range." However, I also wonder about the mechanism that launches the Dawn Effect and what part the still sore muscles (still producing lactic acid?) might have.
I'm not particularly worried as my post breakfast numbers were right back to where they should be an hour after eating. I did not take a pre-bed check the night before (it was late, I was tired, and since I'm not taking any meds I sometimes blow off this test).
As you will all note, my Fasting C-Peptide is very low (actually a few tenths lower and it would be below the laborator normal range). So, I'm not Insulin Resistant.
As X-Menace noted, it may have been a bad strip or meter glitch.
