If your blood isn't clotting fairly quickly (less than 2 minutes), then you need to talk to your doctor about it. It's abnormal for a wound that has properly clotted, after direct pressure, to continue to freely bleed. The fact that you take aspirin may be one of the reasons you aren't clotting properly. Aspirin has a thinning effect on blood.
