Sounds like you need to lower your setting on your lancer. What one are you using? I fond some make larger holes then others.
Also where on your fingers are you testing? Tips? Sides?
If tipes try sides on a lower setting.
You mentioned how you use setting 4 to get it nice and deep, you do not need that muc blood.
